Cycling holidays around Plymouth

Plymouth, the city of Sir Francis Drake, the departure point for the discoverers of North America, is a great centre for cycling holidays in the UK.

It's ideal for cycling holidays with children and family cycling  holidays whilst it gives easy access to beautiful Devon and Cornwall. Plymouth also has a number of  easy cycle paths which allow for traffic free cycling.

Cycling opportunities

We give suggestions for cycle routes which  you can cycle in  any order, at your own speed and pace.

The cycle path to the outskirts of Dartmoor is a lovely cycle ride offering great views of the Devon countryside. Or you could cycle along country roads to a beautiful Devon cove and enjoy time on the beach and a great cream tea.

Visits to Kingsand and Cawsand, accessiblel Cornish sea villages with superb natural light and  great beaches are also great cycling trips.

Alternatively be adventurous and put your bike on the train and go to the internationally renowned Eden Project near St. Austell or perhaps train and ride to Totnes, an interesting  Devon market town and follow the scenic river Dart.
